Conference in Slovenia - More sport for kids with special needs February 16th 2024

The Erasmus+ small partnership project titled “More Sports for People with Special Needs” was implemented by Slovenian partner Association of inclusive culture with a Serbian partner, the Singidunum Association from Belgrade. This two-year project aimed at reciprocal exchanges of professional staff from both countries, mutual comparison of work methods, knowledge, and experience, testing children with special needs who attended additional adapted sports training (and those who did not), and preparing a manual and recommendations for all who conducted training for children and adolescents with special needs or wanted to but lacked the appropriate tools and knowledge. Both partners disseminated the project in various ways within their respective countries and more broadly through an online final conference. The main goal of the project was to demonstrate the importance of additional physical activity for this population, as they are prone to overweight, have lower motor efficiency, and less developed basic motor skills. Sportism partners, including professionals from Croatia and Romania, participated in the online conference where they presented the objectives of the Sportism project to the audience. They also engaged in discussions on various sports topics and provided valuable advice for creating the project’s e-manual.
