The success of the project is also due to the events and is measured by participant turnout in our campaigns.
Initiatives such as BE DIFFERENT!, Exercise with Me and BE A SPORTSMAN – PLAY WITH ME aim to promote a culture of inclusion and awareness, but for more information on the Be Different competition, we refer you to the specific section.
Be a Sportman event - September 23rd 2024 Slovenia
Here are some photographs from the event held on 23 September 2024 in Slovenia, where Sportism partners organised a workshop. Sport, movement, inclusion and fun were the keywords of this wonderful day!
Table Tennis Event – September 26th 2024 Serbia
A table tennis event took place in Novi Sad, Serbia.
A great rematch between the Serbian Paralympic team and Special Olympic athletes from SD Milan Petrovic.
It was a day of sport and healthy competition in which Sportism had the honour of meeting Borislava Peric Rankovic, the best table tennis player with a disability in the world!
She has participated in five Paralympic Games and won a total of seven medals: four silver, two bronze and one gold.
At the Paralympic Games in Paris, she won silver in both table tennis singles and doubles.
She is also a multiple world and European champion, with a total of 32 medals in her playing career!
Novi Sad Sports Fair - October 18th 2024 Serbia
Thanks to our Serbian partner Klub Sportsko društvo ‘Milan Petrović’, during this event, we promoted the Sportism project through a panel discussion on sport and people with disabilities and a demonstration of balance and coordination exercises.
We then took a tour between stands, but not alone. Toza, a boy with autism, joined us and with a bit of support, distributed our flyer to everyone.
Sport and inclusion should always travel together!
Belgrade Annual Education Fair - October 22nd 2024 Serbia
Sportism’s Serbian partner was a guest of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia during the annual Education Fair in Belgrade. At this event, it presented the participation of the Milan Petrović School in European projects, including Sportism.
On this occasion, the work with Sportism users, exercises and the Sportism YouTube channel were presented. Flyers were also distributed to visitors to make them aware of our project!
Local Event - December 12th 2024 Italy
On December 12th 2024, a local event was held in Rome where Sportism Italian partner presented the project and its results.
MfC – Maendeleo for Children also showed the YouTube channel with video exercises on coordination and balance and the forum on EAV Point.
Days of Special Educators International Conference - 7th February 2025 Serbia
Sportism’s Serbian partner, Daniela, Branislava and Vladimir presented Sportism project at the International Conference “Dani defektologa” in Zlatibor (Serbia) on 7 February 2025.
The event “Dani defektologa” (Days of Special Educators) is a traditional annual conference held in Serbia with participants from Bosnia, Croatia, North Macedonia and Montenegro.
Local event for the World Autism Awareness Day - 2nd April 2025 Serbia
A day of smiles and inclusion took place in Novi Sad, Serbia, on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day! The event, part of Sportism activities, united people with autism, their teachers, parents, students and citizens. Surrounded by nature, the participants held creative and socialization workshops, sending a very important message: inclusion is not a privilege, it is a fundamental right of every person.

Sportism workshop at the 19th Play with Me International Festival - 30 May 2025
On the occasion of the Transnational Meeting and hosted by the 19th Play with Me International Festival, our project partners met in Slovenia. In Ljubljana, Sportism organized a workshop: sport, movement, creativity and inclusion for a morning involving children and youth with different abilities. With Sportism every child finds his space, his rhythm, his smile.
Slovenian Round Table - 23 September 2025
On 23 September 2025, in Ljubljana, the Sportism project was presented during the round table held as a part of the Bodi športnik sports event, which took place after the 19th International Festival Play With Me.
Approximately 50 participants were present, including the Ministry of Health, school for children with special needs, teachers, parents and coaches!
The event Be a Sportsman – Play With Me took place on 23 September 2025 in Ljubljana, at ŠC Triglav (NK Olimpija sports grounds).
It was part of the 19th International Festival Play With Me and gathered more than 1,500 participants.
There were more than 40 sports workshops, prepared by 30 sports clubs from Ljubljana.
The event promotes inclusion through sport, bringing together children, young people and adults with and without special needs.

As part of the event, the closing of the three-year programme Specialni Zdravko was also marked, supported by the Ministry of Health. The programme promoted physical activity and a healthy lifestyle for children and young people with special needs.
Physiotherapists professional meeting - 26.11.2025 Romania
As part of the methodological activities of physiotherapists in special schools in the county, a professional meeting was held to exchange best practices and update the tools used in therapeutic and educational activities. During the meeting, participants were introduced to the “Sportism E-Training diary” a modern tool for monitoring and organizing motor-therapeutic activities.
The presentation highlighted the structure of the app, how to complete it, and its usefulness in planning, evaluating, and optimizing the motor progress of students with special educational needs. Practical examples of integrating the E-Diaryinto individualized therapy programs were also discussed, as well as the benefits of using it in documenting interventions and in interdisciplinary collaboration.
The methodological activity took place in a professional and interactive setting, offering physical therapists the opportunity to share experiences, ask questions, and identify effective methods for applying the E-Training Diary in the specific context of special schools.
Expert Conference on Faculty of sports in Ljubljana – 29th November 2025, Slovenia
Our Lead Partner presented the Sportism project and the E-training Diary to over 50 adapted sports coaches during the Expert Conference of the “Active Inclusion” project.
Workshop “The importance of physical activity for the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities” and E-Diary presentation - 2nd December 2025, Serbia
On the eve of December 3rd, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, an inclusive workshop was held in the Elementary and secondary boarding school “Milan Petrovic” on the importance and potential of the movement for physical and creative activities for people with disabilities. The workshop was attended by students from the Department of Special Education and Rehabilitation at the Novi Sad Faculty of Medicine and adult clients of the “ŠOSO Milan Petrović” Day Center. The connection between movement and music as an assistive technology was demonstrated by musician Žarko Sebić. Prof. Dr. Daniela Tamaš presented the results of the Sportism project, with a special focus on the E-Training Diary application, and the president, Dr. Ida Kabok, also addressed the participants, confirming the importance and benefits of participation in sports activities with her many years of experience.
International Day of Persons with Disabilities Event - 3rd December 2025 Serbia
During the city event held in Novi Sad on International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Sportism’s Serbian partner promoted the project in the presence of the city’s mayor.
City of Novi Sad Inclusive Sport Event - 5th December 2025 Serbia
A Sports Day for people with disabilities, on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3rd, was organized at SPENS with the participation of representatives of the City of Novi Sad and inclusive city sports organizations and clubs. The serbian partner of Sportism presented the Sportism project and the E-Training Diary to our colleagues and visitors. The serbian athletes had the opportunity to try some new sports, spar with Paralympic champions, and meet Special Olympics athletes.
Professional meeting of physiotherapists at the Faculty of Health Studies in Rijeka - 13.11.2025 Croatia
In cooperation with the Faculty of Health Studies in Rijeka, physiotherapy students, experts in the field of kinesiology, physiotherapy, educational rehabilitators and other professions held a professional meeting with the aim of cooperation and demonstrating good practice and exchange of experiences in working with people with autism spectrum disorders. At the meeting, the participants were introduced to the digital tool “Sportism E-Training Diary”, a modern tool for monitoring and organizing motor-therapeutic activities. The presentation highlighted the structure of the application, the way it is filled in and its usefulness in planning, evaluating and optimizing the motor progress of students with special educational needs. Practical examples of integrating the E-Diary into individualized therapy programs were also discussed, as well as the advantages of its use in documenting interventions and in interdisciplinary collaboration. Methodological activity took place in a professional and interactive environment, offering physiotherapists and other professions the opportunity to exchange experiences, ask questions and identify effective methods for applying the E-training diary in practice.
